Our Complete IBC Inventory
Rochester IBC maintains one of the largest and most diverse IBC inventories in the Northeast United States. At any given time, our Rochester, NY facility holds between 500 and 2,000 containers spanning every major material type, capacity, and condition grade. Whether you need a single food-grade stainless steel tote for a pilot production run or a fleet of 200 reconditioned poly IBCs for seasonal agricultural operations, we have the stock depth to fulfill your order without lead-time delays.
Our inventory includes brand-new containers direct from manufacturers like Schutz, Mauser, and Greif, as well as professionally reconditioned units that have passed our rigorous 9-step reconditioning process. We also maintain a rotating stock of lightly used, single-trip IBCs sourced from food and beverage producers -- these containers have held a single, documented product and are ideal for buyers who want near-new performance at a used-container price. Every container on our lot is tagged with its history, condition grade, and available certifications so you can make an informed purchasing decision quickly.
We continuously replenish our stock through our buyback and recycling programs, partnerships with regional manufacturers, and direct relationships with container producers. This means that even during peak demand seasons -- spring planting for agriculture, summer construction, fall chemical processing runs -- we rarely face stockouts on popular SKUs. If we do not have exactly what you need on the lot today, our team can typically source it within 5 to 10 business days through our supplier network.

View ProductsQuality Grading System
Every used and reconditioned IBC we sell is assigned a clear, honest grade so you know exactly what to expect. All grades pass the same functional tests -- the difference is purely cosmetic.
Grade A -- Excellent
Near-new cosmetic condition. The inner HDPE bottle is clear or only lightly tinted with no visible staining, scratches, crazing, or hazing. The galvanized steel cage is straight, with intact zinc coating and no visible rust, dents, or weld repairs. The pallet -- whether steel, wood, or composite -- is undamaged and sits perfectly flat. All labels from prior use have been fully removed, and the container looks ready to be presented to an end customer.
Includes
- Brand-new 2" discharge valve assembly
- New 6" screw cap with fresh gasket
- Pressure-tested and certified leak-free
- Full cleaning and sanitization documentation
- Prior-use history on file
Best For
Food and beverage, pharmaceutical, cosmetics, customer-facing operations, resale, and any application where appearance matters as much as function.
Pricing
Typically 30-40% below new equivalent.
Grade B -- Good
Light cosmetic wear that does not affect function or safety. The HDPE bottle may have minor tinting, light surface scuffs, or faint residual marks from prior-use labels. The cage may show minor surface oxidation, light scratches, or small scuffs on the galvanized coating, but structural integrity is fully intact. The pallet is functional with minor cosmetic wear such as surface scratches on steel or light marks on wood. Overall, the container looks well-used but well-maintained -- it has clearly been through service but shows no signs of abuse.
Includes
- New or rebuilt 2" discharge valve
- New 6" screw cap with fresh gasket
- Pressure-tested and certified leak-free
- Cleaning record and prior-use category
- Cage straightened and inspected
Best For
Industrial chemical storage, agricultural applications, cleaning solutions, coolant and lubricant storage, and any setting where function outweighs appearance.
Pricing
Typically 50-60% below new equivalent.
Grade C -- Functional
Noticeable cosmetic wear but fully functional and safe for use. The HDPE bottle may have visible staining, discoloration, or minor surface irregularities. The cage may show moderate surface rust, repaired welds, replaced cross-members, or re-painted sections. The pallet may have replaced boards (wood) or re-bent sections (steel). Despite the cosmetic wear, every Grade C container has passed the same pressure test, leak check, and structural inspection as a Grade A unit.
Includes
- New or rebuilt 2" discharge valve
- New 6" cap with gasket
- Pressure-tested and certified leak-free
- Cage repaired and structurally sound
- Maximum cost savings for budget applications
Best For
Non-critical storage, water collection, rainwater harvesting, waste containment, construction site water, and any budget-sensitive application.
Pricing
Typically 60-70% below new equivalent.
Important: All grades pass the same functional tests -- hydrostatic pressure testing, leak checks, and structural inspection. The grading system reflects cosmetic condition only. A Grade C tote stores and transports liquid just as safely as a Grade A tote. If you are unsure which grade is right for your application, our team is happy to advise.

Bulk Ordering & Fleet Programs
Volume Discounts
We offer tiered volume pricing that rewards larger orders with progressively deeper discounts. Orders of 10 or more identical units qualify for our first discount tier, with additional price breaks at 25, 50, 100, and 250+ units. The more you buy, the less you pay per container. Volume pricing applies to new, used, and reconditioned IBCs across all material types and sizes.
We can also provide custom quotes for mixed-type orders -- for example, 50 Grade B poly totes plus 10 Grade A food-grade units -- with consolidated volume pricing across the entire order. Just tell us what you need and we will build a competitive package.
Fleet Programs
For businesses that use IBC totes as a core part of their operations -- chemical distributors, food manufacturers, agricultural suppliers, cleaning product companies -- our fleet program provides ongoing container management at predictable costs. We supply, maintain, recondition, and rotate your IBC fleet so you always have clean, certified containers when you need them.
Fleet program benefits include priority access to Grade A inventory, dedicated account management, scheduled reconditioning cycles, on-site container pickup and delivery, and quarterly fleet condition reports. Let us handle the containers so you can focus on your core business.
Scheduled Deliveries
Need a steady supply of containers throughout the year? Our scheduled delivery program lets you set up recurring orders on a weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, or quarterly cadence. We will prepare your containers, stage them for delivery, and ship on your schedule -- no need to reorder every time.
Scheduled delivery works especially well for seasonal businesses that ramp up during planting or harvest season, construction firms that need a steady flow of water totes across multiple job sites, and manufacturers with predictable production cycles. We can adjust delivery volumes month by month as your needs change.
Why Buy Used IBC Totes?
Every year, millions of single-use IBC totes end up in landfills. Each container represents roughly 150 pounds of HDPE plastic and a steel cage that required significant energy and raw materials to manufacture. When you purchase a used or reconditioned IBC tote from Rochester IBC, you directly prevent that waste and reduce demand for virgin plastic production.
Beyond the environmental argument, the economics are compelling. A quality used IBC tote costs 40-70% less than a brand-new equivalent, and a professionally reconditioned unit delivers near-identical performance. For businesses that go through dozens or hundreds of containers a year, the savings are transformative. A mid-size chemical distributor replacing 100 totes annually could save $20,000 to $40,000 by purchasing reconditioned Grade B units instead of new containers -- with no functional compromise for most applications.
The lifecycle economics favor used containers even further when you factor in end-of-life value. When your used totes reach the end of their service life, we will buy them back through our recycling program, offsetting your next purchase. This closed-loop model means your per-use container cost drops even lower over time, and every container in the system stays in productive service as long as physically possible before being recycled into raw materials.
We are not asking you to compromise on quality for the sake of the planet. We are showing you that the most responsible choice also happens to be the smartest financial decision.
Average Cost Savings
Used totes cost a fraction of new, with comparable performance for most applications.
Plastic Diverted per Tote
Each reused container keeps roughly 150 pounds of HDPE out of the waste stream.
Lower Carbon Footprint
Reusing an existing container produces a fraction of the emissions compared to manufacturing a new one.
Reuse Cycles
A well-maintained IBC tote can be cleaned, recertified, and reused three to five times before end of life.
